8TH VA REGIMENT

Col. Peter Muhlenberg was Commander of the VIII VA Regiment of 1776.

Although no original survived, Henry A. Muhlenberg's biography of Gen. Peter Mulhenberg, published in 1849, speaks of this flag as being in the author's possession.
