11TH VA REGIMENT

The original of the Alexandria Rifle Company, XI VA Regiment colors is at the Washington Masonic Memorial Museum, Alexandria, Virginia.  The Commander of the XI Regiment of 1777 was Col. Daniel Morgan, later Commander of the Ranger or Rifle Corps.  There were nine VA Continental regiments in the formation of 1776.
